Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Mary Lou Brunstein of Keokuk, Iowa, born in Jefferson City, Missouri, who passed away at the age of 94, on April 4, 2024. She was predeceased by : her parents, Ernest Runkle and Anna Nilges Runkle; her husband Robert; her siblings, Leonard Runkle, Helen Fay (Robert) and Susie Craig (Robert); and her great-nephew Jamie Fay.

She is survived by : her children, Teresa and Dr Robert Kemp; her friend Wixoms; her close friends, Irene Collins and Betty Young; her friends, Dale, Burnetta Cummins and Annabelle Lammering; and her grandchildren, Trenton Brisby (Renee), Andy Clark, Brian Clark (Sara), Alex Brunstein (Lindsey) and Rachel Brunstein. She is also survived by her friends' children and grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to First Lutheran Church.
