Though Robert may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Robert touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. He was predeceased by: his parents, Roger Hempen and Louella Loeschen (Blaise); his stepfather Merlin Loeschen; and his siblings, Roger Hempen and Connie Martin.
He is survived by: his sisters, Lori Bloom (George "Nick") of Montrose and Cindy Stanley (Mark) of Keokuk. He is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
