He was predeceased by: his parents, Calvin C. Leffler and Darlene Leffler (Tripp); his wife Margaret Yvonne Stevens; his daughter April; and his brothers, Gary, David, Carroll and Alan Leffler.

He is survived by: his daughters, Jennifer Bell (Michael) of Keokuk, Lucy Leffler (David Bell) of Keokuk, Chris Leffler (Andy) of Keokuk and Sheila Henson of Keokuk; his grandchildren, Dalton Bell, Allison Bell (Evan), Alexis Bell (Hunter), Felicity Bell (David), Chloe Bell and Brianna Bell; his siblings, Brian Leffler of Hamilton, Alice McGinnis (Mike) of Hamilton and Janet Weirather of Hamilton; and his sisters-in-law, Linda Leffler of Nauvoo and Donna Leffler of Warsaw. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
