She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry Wardlow and Susan Younkin Wardlow; her husband Elmer J. Kirchner; and her siblings, Paul, Leroy, Albert Wardlow, Phoebe Tweedy and Priscilla Frieb.
She is survived by: her children, Teresa Thoeny (Frank) of Keokuk, Steve Kirchner (Marge) of Fort Madison and Richard Kirchner (Madonna) of Hamilton. She is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 3rd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Vigen Memorial (1328 Concert St, Keokuk, IA 52632). A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, August 3rd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
Memorials in Ruth's honor may be made to Lee County Hospice or the PAW Animal Shelter in Fort Madison.
