Shirley J. Townsend Obituary
With sadness, we share the passing of Shirley J. Townsend of Keokuk, Iowa. Shirley, born on September 18, 1936, passed away on October 16, 2026. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Shirley J. Townsend to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Leland McRobert and Irma McRobert; and her siblings, William McRobert, L. M. McRobert and Ila McRobert.
She is survived by: her husband Paul Townsend; her children, Gregory Townsend (Tammy) and Trudith Douglas (Larry); her grandsons, Matthew Douglas, Timothy Douglas, Trevor Townsend (Abby) and Tyler Townsend (Cheyenne); and her great grandchildren, Baylor Townsend and James Townsend. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the DeJong-Printy Funeral Home (917 Blondeau St, Keokuk, IA 52632). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made in Shirley's memory to Trinity United Methodist Church.
