Verlene Niebuhr Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Verlene Niebuhr of Keokuk, Iowa, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 26, 2025 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Harold Woodall and Evadna Woodall; her siblings, Wendall Woodall and Ardeth Vest; her sister-in-law Dorothy Woodall; and her nephew Robert Vest.
She is survived by: her children, Annette Niebuhr of North Liberty, Lisa Niebuhr (Greg Theis) of Norwalk and Mark Niebuhr (Veronica) of Charlotte; her grandchildren, Zoey Niebuhr and Sofia Niebuhr; her brother-in-law George Vest; her sibling's children, Vicki Vest, Dana Woodall (Chris), Bill Woodall (Debby) and Richard Vest (Cristina Johnson); her great-nephews, Parker Woodall (Emily) and Kyle Woodall (Michelle); Jameson and Cameron.
A funeral service will be held on Sunday, October 5th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the First Lutheran Church (1101 Blondeau St, Keokuk, IA 52632).
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to First Lutheran Church and the Keokuk Public Library.
