She was predeceased by: her parents, William Henry and Ella Mae Petty (Leep); her husband Carl LaVerne Glaspie; her sister Verna Joe; her half-siblings, Cecilia and Lawrence; her close friend Larry Freeze; her son-in-law Rick McCulley; and her great grandchildren, Brooklyn Hyatt and Jeremy Nevins.
She is survived by: her children, Glenn Glaspie of West Chester, Corrine McCulley of Washington, Sharon Engel (Fritz) of Brighton, Karl Glaspie (Mary) of North English, Lonnie of Mt. Union and Jeff Glaspie (Danielle) of Brighton; her grandchildren, Nicole Huggins (Heath), Kris Freel, Melissa McCulley, Patricia Carroll (John), Kerry Engel, Kyla Nevins (John), Kristen Engel, Katie O'Donnell (Ethan), Fritz Engel (Jessica), Tyler Bayliss (Bryan), Morgan Weber (Alex), Derek Glaspie, Devyn Glaspie (Cole Watson), Sarah Glaspie (Jesse Jondle) and Justin Glaspie (Alissa); and her sister Norma Luquette of Chandler Arizona. She is also survived by 31 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, September 25th 2026 at 1:00 PM and from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Beatty Funeral Home & Cremation Service (107 S 15th Ave, Washington, IA 52353). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
