He was predeceased by: his parents, Edwin Detlef Ploog and Mildred Ione Ploog (Kincaid); his sister Donna Coble; and his nephew Daryl Coble. He is survived by: his niece Carolyn Cuvar (Jeff); and his nephew Kenneth Coble. He is also survived by many other relatives and friends.

In lieu of flowers, Ed requested that memorials be designated to the American Legion Post #319 in Keswick or the What Cheer Opera House.
