It is with sadness that the passing of Clara Pospisil of Keystone, Iowa is shared. Clara, born on May 31, 1924, passed away on October 9, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Mary Vanous Meroshek and Frank Meroshek; her husband Robert Pospisil; her daughter Rita McGinnis; and her daughter-in-law Debra Pospisil.
She is survived by: her siblings, Charles, William, Frank Meroshek and Rose Meroshek Pospisil; her children, Diane Henry (Brad), Doug Pospisil, John McGinnis and Ed Pospisil (Linda Moothart); and her grandchildren, Carrie, Kate, John, Laura, Nick, Allison and Hilary. She is also survived by eight great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 14th 2026 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the St. John the Baptist Catholic Church (212 7th St SE, Mt Vernon, IA 52314). A funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, October 14th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to St. John's Catholic Church. The family greatly appreciates donations made to these charities in Clara Pospisil 's name.
