We are sad to announce that on July 27, 2023, at the age of 89, Donald Gene Albertsen of Keystone, Iowa, born in Vinton, Iowa passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Donald Gene Albertsen to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Ewald Albertsen and Marvel Albertsen (Lamprecht); and his siblings-in-law, Eleanor Albertsen, Larry Pickering (Donna) and Lynn "Butch" Pickering (Dee).

He is survived by : his wife Kay Pickering of Van Horne; his children, Peggy Oelmann (Verlen) of Parkersburg, David Albertsen (Coreen) of Keystone and Craig Albertsen of Van Horne; and his siblings, Duane Albertsen of Vinton and Diane Pippert (David) of Garrison. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be directed to St. Andrew Lutheran Church.
