He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Mahrt and Jennie Mahrt (Hodgen); and his in-laws, Glenn, Wilma Groth, Duane Groth and Clair Clausen.
He is survived by: his wife Diane (Groth); his children, Todd, Tami, Tim (Suzy) and Travis Mahrt (Stacie); his grandchildren, Brittany Bowman (Cameron), Breanna Mahrt, Dexter Mahrt (Katie), Dallin Mahrt (Samantha), DeAndra Wright (Michael), Levi Mahrt, Kellsi Schoen (Garrett) and Jayden Wurth; his great grandchildren, Remi, Brexley, Malakai, Decker, Lee and Legend; and his in-laws, Darnell Clausen, Denise, Denny Dugan, Donita and Dave Murray. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews.
