It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gary Verwers (Knoxville, Iowa), who passed away on October 4, 2022, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by : his parents, William Edward and Daisy May Verwers (Phipps); and his sister Bonnie (Darrell Coulson). He is survived by : his spouse Sharry Freel; his daughters, Kelly Meyers (Gerard) of Indianola, Kisha Jahner (Roy) of Knoxville and Krissy Link (Josh) of Knoxville; and his grandchildren, Brock Helwig, Chandler Jahner, Ella Jahner, Brady Meyers, Holt Link and Blythe Link.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Knoxville Fire and Rescue and the Columbia United Methodist Church.
