He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth Hayes and Ethyle Hayes (Gordon); and his brother Terry Hayes. He is survived by: his wife Joyce Hayes (Barnett); his children, Jeff Hayes (Lori), Cheri Reynolds (Scott) and Dan Hayes (Cletus); his grandchildren, Tori Hoke (Heath), Jessica Osterberg (Zach), Erica Goings (Peter) and Dana Hayes; and his great grandchildren, Layne Hoke-Ellis (Kody), Hayes Osterberg, Camrin Osterberg, Malin Goings and Ingrid Goings.
A celebration of life will be held on Friday, August 29th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Pierschbacher Funeral Home (309 W Main St, Knoxville, IA 50138). Visitation will be held on Friday, August 29th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Pierschbacher Funeral Homes - Knoxville (309 W Main St, Knoxville, IA 50138).
