He was predeceased by: his parents, Jake Harvey and Helen Harvey (Miller); his wife Kathy Louise Harvey; his son Donald Joseph Martinache; his grandson Anthony Cook; his siblings, Larry Harvey and Lois Morgan; his nephews, Danny Morgan, David Morgan and Brian Morrisson; and his siblings-in-law, Loretta Wooldridge and Jerry Morgan.

He is survived by: his children, Kimberly Sue Cook and Richard Kevin Martinache; his siblings, Louise Cooprider (Bill), Linda Fox (Steve) and Dan Harvey (Connie); his grandchildren, Brett Tangeman (Lacy), Nicky Jones (Keith), Ian Martinache (Mallory), Matthew Cook and Nicholas Claibourn; and his sisters-in-law, Jennifer Krpan and Sandra Harvey. He is also survived by many loving great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in Lyle's name can be directed to Knoxville American Legion.
