He was predeceased by : his parents, Carl Rees and Frances Rees (Rahlf); and his siblings, Robert, Tommy, Claudean Avon, Paul and Marjory Andrews.

He is survived by : his wife Kathy Hoch; his children, Derek of Des Moines and Kelsi Chambers (Todd) of Knoxville; his granddaughter Harper Chambers; his pet Jerry; and his sister Nancy Good (Georgia) of Griffin.
