He was predeceased by : his grandfather Cletus Windschitl. He is survived by : his parents, Chris Windschitl and Jody Windschitl (Kurth) of Lake City; his brother Adam (Linda); his nieces and nephews, Caitlin, Audrey of Missouri Valley and Matthew (Ivelisse); his children, Anna and Addy of Missouri Valley; and his grandparents, William, Karen Kurth of Lake City and Valerie Windschitl of Ames.

“I never met Jeremiah, but I've grown to know his brother well. We've discussed everything from a thorn in the flesh to freedom being absent without a common agreement upon what constitutes good and evil. The dichotomy between suffering and joy is hard for us in that we suffer from Jeremiah's absence only to joy over him now having the answers to every question we'll ever ponder. Believers will be reunited with him. I look forward to meeting him for the first time. -M”
