He was predeceased by: his parents, Lester O. Thompson and Opal I. Thompson (Nappe); and his sister Barbara A. Bondari. He is survived by: his wife Pattii Arnett-Thompson; his daughters, Dawn Serdiuk of Tampa, FL and Kelly Kuhlemeier (Mike) of Rockwell, IA; his stepdaughters, Kyla Dippold (Glen) of Clive, IA and Tami Anderson (Tim Jennings) of Clive, IA; his grandchildren, David Serdiuk, Peter Serdiuk, Jacob Kuhlemeier, Payton Kuhlemeier and Carlie Tovrea (Zeth); his great grandchildren, Vayda, Sage and Knox; and his brothers, Mark (Vicki Thompson) and LeRoy (Elda Thompson). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Winnebago Lutheran Church, rural Lake Mills, IA in memory of Gary.
