She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward Meister and Elizebeth Meister (Heller); her husband Merlyn "Shorty" Thompson; her son John O'Tool; her grandson Timothy O'Tool; her brothers, Dale, Louis, Darrel, Raymond and James Meister (Mary Ann); and her sisters-in-law, Ruth Meister, Lillian Meister and Lois Adams.
She is survived by: her children, Larry O'Tool (Vicki) of Arcadia, IA, Dennis O'Tool (Cathy) and Shari Winker of Lake View, IA. She is also survived by five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, other extended family.
