James Stodden Obituary
In loving memory of James Stodden of Lake View, Iowa, who departed this world on July 18, 2025 at the age of 85. James leaves behind a legacy remembered by family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the soft embrace of remembrance, we recall the profound impact James had on those he encountered along his journey. Though James may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, his essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Jack Stodden and Vivian Stodden (Coyne); his sister Joann; and his wife Dorothy Anne Hatch. He is survived by: his children, Michael of Elkhorn, NE, David (Robin) of Chapin, SC and Laura (Matt) of Ankeny, IA.
Visitation will be held on Friday, July 25th 2025 from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM and at 7:00 PM at the St. Mary's Catholic Church (621 S 12th St, Sac City, IA 50583). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, July 26th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
