He was predeceased by: his parents, Jerry Boekelman and Emma Boekelman (Fritz); his parents-in-law, Raymond and Pearl Hertzke; his sister LaVonne Pries; his siblings-in-law, Keith Pries, Robert Weaver and Karen Hertzke; and his nephew Doug Weaver.
He is survived by: his wife Ilona Boekelman of Lakota; his children, Randy Boekelman (Peggy) of Lakota, Myron Boekelman (Judy) of Lakota, Gregory Boekelman (Amy) of Lakota, Denise Engelby (Bradley) of Ledyard and Sheila Gelhaus (Roy) of Forest City; and his sisters, Marcella Weaver of Prairieville, LA, Diana Kiewiet Buffalo (Jim), Marilyn Evans (Roger) of Burt and Joyce Schutjer (Reg) of Titonka. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
