He was predeceased by: his parents, Elsie Ruby (Ploeger) and Orville Ruby; his wife Kathleen Simmons (Kay); his daughter-in-law Charlene Ruby; and his brothers-in-law, Robert "Red" Obbink and Paul Kockler.
He is survived by: his children, Mike Campbell (Nancy), Bettye Richardson (Bob), Kim Ruby (Kimberly), Shaun Anderson (Jerome) and Jay Ruby; and his sisters, Audrey Obbink and Arlene Kockler. He is also survived by Nine grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren.
