She was predeceased by : her parents, Johnnie Salmon and Mae Salmon; her husband David Thomas; her children, Margaret Hamilton and John Thomas; and her sisters, Pauletta Salmon and Wilma Kromeich.

She is survived by : her daughter Myrna McLain of Lamoni, Iowa; and her granddaughter Mercedes McLain of Lamoni. She is also survived by nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends.
