Erma Laura Beaty Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Erma Laura Beaty (Lamoni, Iowa), born in Saint Francis, Kansas, who passed away on April 13, 2020, at the age of 106, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Ernest Gearhart and Adaline Gearhart; her husband Roy; her children, Earl, John Roy Jr. and Lucille; her children-in-law, Derhyl Booker and Pat Beaty; her great grandchild Andrew Booker; her siblings, Ruth McIllvany, Ruby Reed and Charles Gearhart; and her sister-in-law Virginia Gearhart.

She is survived by : her son Jerald "Jerry" Beaty; her daughter-in-law Karon Beaty; her son Al Beaty; her daughter-in-law Liz Beaty; and her grandchildren, Ray Beaty, Robert Beaty, Kimberly Hopkins (Beaty), Lisa Southerland (Beaty), Blane Booker, Brian Booker, Karl Booker, Belinda Robinson (Booker), Terry Beaty, Tracy Beaty and Tammy Cone (Beaty). She is also survived by 20 great grandchildren; 32 great, great grandchildren and 2 great, great, great grandchildren.

Because of the current COVID-19 Pandemic, there will not be a public funeral service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Erma's name to Community of Christ Church in Lamoni, Iowa or to Kavanagh House (Hospice), 3000 Easton Blvd, Des Moines, IA 50317.
