With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joan Sophia Green in Lamoni, Iowa, born in Rock Island, Illinois, who passed away on December 28, 2023 at the age of 98. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Abram James and Zazell Kathryn Gray (White); her husband Dick; her brother Robert Gray; and her son-in-law Tom Pauli.

She is survived by : her daughters, Cathy Pauli of Lamoni and Peggy Mikel (Randy) of Altoona, Iowa; her grandchildren, Stacey Slifka, Carey (Arlie Miller), Katie (Rob Vozza), Rachael (Ryan Dietz), Megan Mikel, Sarah Pauli, Dylan Pauli and Sophia (Kevin Lindgren); and her great grandchildren, Emma, Harrison, Henry, Madeline, Claire, Griffin, Bennett, Cooper, Anna, Jack, Beckett, Keira, Scarlett, Owen, Aiden, Collin and Gavin.
