He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Boyd and Ardith Egbert (Ewing); his siblings, Kelly Egbert and Terry Egbert-Moors; his nephew Tony Alsop; his cousin David Smith; and his pet Valentine.
He is survived by: his wife Dawn Ferber Egbert; his children, Matthew Egbert (Robyn) and Cinnamon Andrews; his sister-in-law Dixon Eller (Steve); his children-in-law, Shea Frederick (Amelia), Sean Frederick (Jenna), Amber Stavinoha, Everett Knox and Missy Wishert; his grandchildren, Henry, Sophia, Cora, Madeline, Trent, Jaxon, Aidan, Elijah, Easton and Brynlee; and his pet Abbey.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, October 28th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Slade - O'Donnell Funeral Home (103 NE Mill St, Leon, IA 50144). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, October 29th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Lamoni United Methodist Church. A graveside service was held on Thursday, October 30th 2025 at 12:30 PM at the Iowa Veterans Cemetery (34024 Veterans Memorial Dr, Adel, IA 50003).
A memorial fund will be established by the family.
