She was predeceased by : her parents, Ira Calvin and Susie Bowen (Heasley); her sister Rosemary Bradley; and her brother-in-law George Bradley (Doris Gibson Scott). She is survived by : her husband Carl Bernahl of Lamoni, Iowa; her son Elly Nunez of Des Moines, Iowa; her grandchildren, Evellyn of Des Moines and Joaquin Nunez of Des Moines; and her niece Annette Scott Jacobs. She is also survived by cousins, other relatives, and friends.
