He is survived by: his wife Sandra Apel of Charles City; his children, Brian (Sheri McDermott), Amy (Todd Warnke), Ryan (Michelle McDermott) and Casey (April McDermott); and his siblings, Patrick McDermott (Laura) of New Hampton and Connie McDermott of Des Moines.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 24th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Holy Family Catholic Church (206 N Broadway Ave, New Hampton, IA 50659). A funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, June 24th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the same location.
