He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Elling and Alberta M. Elling (Smith). He is survived by: his son Austin (Karla Mae) of Latimer; his wife Sharon Nielsen; his son Fred Leonard of Alden; his grandsons, Emmett and Owen Elling; and his sister Marian Mass.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 14th 2026 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the Immanuel United Church of Christ (204 East St, Latimer, IA 50452). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 14th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
