He was predeceased by: his parents, Russell Oleson and Viola Oleson (Meyer); his daughter Brenda; his son-in-law David Spangenberg; his granddaughter Sierra Penning; his siblings, Ivan Oleson and Deanna Fahrmann; his nephew Scott Oleson; and his parents-in-law, Walter Plagge and Alma Plagge.
He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Plagge; his children, Kevin Oleson (Ann) and Teresa Penning; his grandchildren, Blake Oleson (Olivia), Hannah Oleson, Trevor Penning, Jared Penning and Stephanie Penning; his brother Dennis Oleson (Linda); his brother-in-law Dennis Fahrmann; his nephew Jeff Fahrmann; and his niece Amy Fahrmann.
