He was predeceased by: his parents, William Busse and Sena Busse (Jepson); his siblings, Lloyd, Bill Busse, Maxine Busse, Larraine Sarvold and Vergene McFarland; his daughter-in-law Tamie Busse; and his grandchildren, Sydney and Dylan.

He is survived by: his wife Annah Handy of Laurens; and his children, Michael Busse (Brenda) of Camanche, Troy Busse (Kari) of Taylor Ridge, IL and Lory Zeman (Joe) of Pocahontas. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great grandchildren.
