He is survived by: his wife Janet Bengtson of John's Lutheran Church; his children, Dr. Joleen Gorman of Fort Payne, AL, Susan Radke (Gene) of Ord, NE, David Wiener of Logan, IA and Julie Baker (Steffan) of Ord, NE; his grandchildren, Zachary Radke (Alyssa), Erinn Akers (Derek), Evan Baker (Melissa), Amanda Hallock (Brad), Alexis Gaylor (Jesse), Dr. Ariana Gorman, Easton Gorman, Elizabeth Greer (Will) and James Wiener (Heather); his great grandchildren, Toby, Bene Baker, Ava Wiener, Brayden Greer, John Baker, Rielly Poorbear Baker and Morgan Wiener; his siblings, Leland Wiener of Le Mars, IA, Arnold Wiener (Kelly) of Nemaha, IA, LaVonne, Arlene Wiener of Le Mars, IA, Marylyn Muecke of Hinton, IA, Elaine Droegmiller (James) of Cushing, IA and Pat Verrips (James) of Sheldon, IA; and his sister-in-law Doris Wiener of Burnsville, MN. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, July 9th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Thursday, July 10th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:15 AM. A funeral service was held on Thursday, July 10th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the St. John's Lutheran Church (201 1st Ave NW, Le Mars, IA 51031). A prayer was held on Thursday, July 10th 2025 at 12:30 PM at the same location.
