She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Eckerman and Sayde Eckerman (McKenna); her husband Jim of Mary's Catholic Church; her granddaughter Victoria Kennedy; her siblings, Vincent Herman (Madeline), Michael Mark (Mary Anne), Helena Majel (Dick), Joseph Henry (Theresa), Martin Cecil (Martha), Raymund Francis (Mary), Harry (Lois), Dolores Arlyne (Mel) and Lawrence Edward (Brenda); her brother-in-law Dick Johnson; her parents-in-law, Eugene and Lillian Kennedy; and her siblings-in-law, Cecil Kennedy (Loretta), Eugene Kennedy (Dorothy), Helen Halaszyn (Stefan), Mary Myers (Ralph) and Elaine Tolan (John).
She is survived by: her daughter Karla Anthony (Bill) of Le Mars; her grandchildren, Tina Anthony, Buster and Jesse Anthony (Sara); her great grandchildren, Caleb, Connor and Carson; her granddaughter Shauna Schultz (Brian); her great grandchildren, Grayson and Kendall; her son Kevin Kennedy (Julie) of Centennial, CO; her grandson Jacob Kennedy (Donielle); her great grandchildren, Luna, Theo and Benjamin; her grandchildren, Carryn Steffen (Berett) and Lauren Kennedy (David Neitenbach); her son John Kennedy (Peggy) of Henderson, NV; her granddaughter Theresa Roe (Jason); her great grandchildren, Olivia, Harrison, Henry and Charlotte; her grandson Michael Kennedy (Krisla); her great grandchildren, James, Will and Jack; her granddaughter Colleen Kennedy; her daughter Sheila Kennedy of Minneapolis, MN; and her sister Sara'Sally'Johnson. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and other extended relatives.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 6th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the Rexwinkel Funeral Home (107 12th St SE, Le Mars, IA 51031). A prayer will be held on Thursday, November 6th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, November 7th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the All Saints Catholic Parish - St. James (109 6th Ave SW, Le Mars, IA 51031).
