She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Wilberding and Mary Wilberding (Jasper); her husband Leo Flaherty; her son Kevin Leo Flaherty; her grandson Rory Flaherty; her children-in-law, Glen Mechtenberg and Frances "Frankie" Flaherty; her brothers, Al Wilberding (Gerry), Larry Wilberding (Ann) and Ray Wilberding; her siblings-in-law, T. W. Flaherty, Jr. (Delores), Margaret Flaherty and Robert Flaherty; and her in-laws, T. W. and Cora Flaherty (Sullivan).
She is survived by: her children, Barbara Mechtenberg of Yankton, SD, Michael Flaherty of Missoula, MT and Jean Binder (Michael) of Yankton, SD.; her grandchildren, Sarah Mechtenberg of Yankton, SD, Karl Mechtenberg of Anchorage, AK, Joe Mechtenberg of Minneapolis, MN and Deirdre Flaherty of Missoula, MT; and her sister-in-law Peg Wilberding of Albia, IA.. She is also survived by nine great-grandsons and one great-granddaughter.
