With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Lawrence Joseph Freking (Le Mars, Iowa), who passed away on September 26, 2025 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Freking and Loretta Freking (Holton); his wife Karolyn; his siblings, Colleen Ortmann and Don Freking; and his siblings-in-law, Vicki Freking, Kathy Uhrich, Dick Ortmann, Francis Wurth, Ken Kummerfeld and Ron Uhrich.
He is survived by: his children, Judy Freking of Le Mars, IA and Steve Freking (Lauri); his grandchildren, Jordan, Solomon, Roman, Elijah, Virginia, Benjamin, Maya and Jack; his siblings, Jim Freking (Sally) and Patricia Wurth; and his siblings-in-law, Carol Freking, Dick Kummerfeld (Gail) and Chuck Kummerfeld (Lila). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
