He was predeceased by: his parents, Ronald Hinspeter and Francella Hinspeter (Swindle); his parents-in-law, Don and Florence Diediker; and his son Joe Christoffers.
He is survived by: his wife Donna Miller (Diediker); his sons, Daniel Christoffers (Selena) and Michael Christoffers; his stepchildren, Shannon Miller (Susan), Amy Bergquist (Jon) and Kim Mullally (Pat); his grandchildren, Ryker Christoffers, Anika Christoffers, Michael Jr. Christoffers, Matthew Christoffers, Nathaniel Christoffers, Elaina Christoffers, Philip Gonzalez (Natalie), Dominic Miller, Vincent Miller, Chris Bergquist (Ashlee), Matt Bergquist (Melissa Bubb), Alex Bergquist, Kendra Bergquist (Ryan Jensen), Laura Burnett (Zach Johme), Bailey Mullally and Trevor Mullally; and his brother Francis Hinspeter (Jane). He is also survived by 17 great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, October 1st 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Rexwinkel Funeral Home (107 12th St SE, Le Mars, IA 51031). A memorial service was held on Wednesday, October 1st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
