He was predeceased by: his parents, Sidney Johnson and Mava Johnson (McCutcheon); his siblings, Duane Johnson and Phyllis Johnson; his siblings-in-law, Gaylon Fear, Ed Schreiber, Alvin Kramer and Lorene Unrau; and his parents-in-law, Ray and Alma Puhrmann.
He is survived by: his wife Norma Puhrmann; his daughters, Julie Grantham (Bob) of Omaha, Nebraska, Amy Rolfes (Jason) of Akron, Iowa, Kris Johnson of Loveland, Colorado, Kelly Fuqua of Aurora, Colorado and Kim Hooper (Jeff) of Aurora, Colorado; his grandchildren, Hunter, Brody Grantham, Emma, Brianna Rolfes, Brittney Ball (Justin), Tyson Hart and Emilie Fuqua; his great grandchildren, Aliyah, Hope and Adalynn Hart; his siblings, Doris Schreiber of Montgomery, Marge Kramer of Ankeny, Iowa and David Johnson (Sherry) of Ackworth, Georgia; and his siblings-in-law, JoAnn Johnson of Denver, Colorado, Marlys Fear of Olds, Iowa, Larry Puhrmann (Cindy Moos) of Iverness, Florida and Denny Unrau of Spirit Lake.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 4th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Grace Lutheran Church (1430 7th Ave SE, Le Mars, IA 51031). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 4th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
