He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Lauer and Mary Lauer (Dean); his wife Joan O'Hearn; his brothers, Leroy Eugene and Donald Keith; and his siblings-in-law, Pat Lauer, Coral O'Hearn, Patricia "Patty" Dellachiesa, Paul O'Hearn, Dick Dellachiesa, Jack O'Hearn and Joe Potter.
He is survived by: his son Patrick of Lehigh; and his sisters-in-law, Sharon O'Hearn Hrubes (Dave) of Lehigh, Beverly O'Hearn of Lehigh and Diane Lauer of Atlantic, Iowa. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
