He was predeceased by : his parents, Paul G. Bennett and Rosa M. Bennett; his sister Floreta; his aunts and uncles, Arthur (Grace Bennett), Roy Bennett, Ruth (Bill Mott), Alice Rowe Springer (Siverly) and Gordon Wilson; and his brother-in-law Brian Gannon.

He is survived by : his siblings, Dave Bennett of Lenox, Pauline Bennett-Gannon of Fairbanks, AK and Karen Heck (Evan) of Corydon, IA; his aunts, Liz Wilson of Glenwood and Virginia Bennett of Creston; his nieces and nephews, Lisa Johnson, Poe O'Conner, Glenna Gannon, Ian Gannon, Rowna Heck, Clayton Heck, James Robinson, Heather Avila, Jeff Mckauge and Chrystal Estel; and his friend Jon Piercy.

In lieu of flowers, donations in his name may go to the American Heart Association or the American Diabetes Association.
