He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Pershing and Mary Faye Miers (Glass); his in-laws, Howard and Clarice Meredith; his brothers, Jerry and Bill Miers (Bill); and his brother-in-law Dick Meredith.
He is survived by: his children, Amy Michelle (David) of Altoona and Aaron Micheal (Barb) of New Market; his wife Linda Meredith of Bedford, Iowa.; his daughters, Angie Eisele (Chad) of Norwalk and Karen Knoll (Mike) of Fargo, ND; his grandchildren, Kaylee Karg, Konnor Karg of Altoona, Brycen and Brenna Eisele of Norwalk; his stepgrandchildren, Kaylee, Evan and Gia Clark of Altoona; his sisters, Nora Poppelwell (Mike) of Albany, MO and Cindy Thomson (Rich) of Red Oak; his siblings-in-law, Arieta Miers of Creston, Joan Miers of LaVista, NE, Claudia Hebing (Todd) of Galena, MO, Sandy Meredith of Bedford and Stephen Meredith of Omaha, NE; and his friend Linda. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews.
