He was predeceased by: his parents, William Klinker and Olga Klinker (Schroeder); his parents-in-law, Emil and Nora Nitz; his sisters, Lorraine (Elmer Gierstorf) and Evelyn (Art Bohlmann); his brother-in-law David Nitz; and his grandson Daniel Klinker.

He is survived by: his wife Patricia; his children, Dennis Klinker (Pam) of Osceola, Kathryn Christensen (Dennis) of Leon, Kimberley Henderson (Bobby) and Karol Klinker; his grandchildren, Jeremy Aschan, Jessica Klinker (Troy Cory), Kristin Christensen, Katlyn Whirrett (Lyal), Chris Christensen (Jessica), Kourtney Chicoine (Kurtis) and Tyler Morris (Brittany); his great grandchildren, Jordan, Noah, Dawson, Clayton, Daxsyn, Alayna, Adalyn, Leila, Brayden, Lainey and Myles; and his sister-in-law Ann Alwood. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, former students and friends.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, December 3rd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Our Savior's Lutheran Church (709 W 1st St, Leon, IA 50144). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, December 3rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
