He is survived by: his father Michael Eugene "Gene" of Leon, Iowa; his sister Kim Smith of Leon; his nephew Clayton Smith (Alyssa Reineck); his great-nephew Axton Nelson of Leon; his children, Crystal, Rodney Hasselbring of Dunham Springs, Justen Lawson of Des Moines and Kathryn Hook of Des Moines, Iowa; his grandchildren, Austin, Jamie Lawson, Porchia Koehly, Bladedyn Hasselbring, Castiella Hasselbring, Lohgan Lawson, Nicholas Hutt, Matthew Hook, Wyatt Hook and Avery McBurney; his great grandchild Daniel Koehly, II; Crystal, Justen and Kathryn. He is also survived by numerous aunts and uncles; and other relatives and friends.
