With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Maurice Chester Redman (Leon, Iowa), who passed away on August 10, 2021 at the age of 74. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Maurice Chester and Elizabeth Ethel (McMorris); and his brother Kenny Redman. He is survived by: his wife Rowena Williams; his niece Amy Peca (Joe); his great-nephews, Joseph of Cadiz, Kentucky and Isaac Peca of Cadiz, Kentucky; his nephew Ryan Redman (Maria) of Arlington, Virginia; his sister-in-law Donna Redman of Frankford, Delaware; and his uncle Don Redman of Leon, Iowa. He is also survived by many cousins; and other relatives and many, many friends.

At the time of his death he was sitting on the boards of Parkview Low Rent Housing, the Central Decatur School Foundation, and Home-Instead Elderly Housing.

“Dearest Redman family and friends…I am so sorry to hear of Chester’s passing. My cousin Dennis Sprenger just informed me yesterday. Chester was still in touch with the McMorris side of his family as recent as 6 months ago. He is remembered with love & affection by his three “Kansas City cousins”, (Marie, Sandra, Linda). We shared at least 20 Thanksgivings & McMorris family reunions with Chet in Leon, Iowa. We always visited Grandma Eliza, Elizabeth & Chet when driving nearby. Love to you!”
