He was predeceased by: his parents, Florence Hinds (Farrow) and Ted Hinds; his sister-in-law Susan Hinds; and his father-in-law Guy Vinson. He is survived by: his children, Jaron Hinds, Janessa Redman (Andy) and Jentry Benedict (Matt); his grandchildren, Blake, Claire, Isaiah, Ainsley, Cora and Nevaeh; his wife Debbie; his siblings, Keith Hinds, Randy Hinds (Linda) and Vicki Graham (Danny); his mother-in-law Judy Vinson; and his siblings-in-law, Donna Hill and Dennis Vinson (Linda). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, December 3rd 2025 at 1:00 PM and on Friday, December 5th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM. A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 6th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Our Savior's Lutheran Church (709 W 1st St, Leon, IA 50144).

A memorial fund has been established by the Family to be distributed to causes close to Ron's heart.
