She was predeceased by: her parents, Arthur Thompson and Mary Thompson; her spouse Jackie E. Carter; her siblings, James Thompson and Mary Lou Thompson; and her granddaughter Mary Catherine Rose Carter.
She is survived by: her children, David Carter (Cathy) of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, Susan Meredith (Cyril) of Oak Ridge, Tennessee, Jon Carter of Letts, Tom Carter (Teresa) of Letts and Matt Carter (Priscilla) of Dubuque. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial has been established for the Letts United Methodist Church in Margaret Ann's name.
