She was predeceased by: her parents, Earl Hill and Florence Hill (Welch); her sister Karen; her brother-in-law John Warne; and her nieces, Crystal Warne and Lisa Glasmann.

She is survived by: her husband Gene Freiburger of Lisbon; her children, Amanda Tapia (Alejandro) of San Antonio and Daniel Freiburger (Monica) of Cedar Rapids; her grandchildren, Liam, Mikayla, Hadley and Hayes; and her siblings, Virginia Byers (Gary) of Rock Springs, Gaillynn Warne of Gower, Missouri, Richard Hill (Peggy) of Marion and Leonard Hill (Gina) of Agency, Missouri. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed in honor of Lorena, to St. Paul Lutheran Church in Mount Vernon.
