She was predeceased by: her parents, Virgil Cole and Frances Cole (Satterfield); her former husband Joseph Onstott; her sister Virginia Laing; and her grandsons, Jody Curley, David Jones and Jonathan Jones.
She is survived by: her husband Darrell Laing; her daughters, Kathy Curley of Clarence and Deborah Jones of Lisbon; her stepdaughters, Barb Stuckey (Monte) of Tipton, Gloria O'Hara of Lisbon and Annie Schoon of Marion; and her siblings, Donna Cole Davis (Gary) of Las Vegas, Patty Welty-Baugh of Tipton, Cindy Bergen of Urbana and Harry Cole (Thea) of Marion. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, and six great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, July 18th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Fry Funeral Home (220 E 6th St, Tipton, IA 52772). A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 18th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, July 18th 2025 at 1:30 PM at the Rose Hill Cemetery (309 Reeder St, Mechanicsville, IA 52306).
