He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Franklin and Vera Ruth Pippitt (McCracken); and his siblings, James Pippitt, Rex Pippitt, Betty Sprague and Phyllis Hornibnrook.
He is survived by: his wife Peggy Lee Vipond; his children, Gayle (John Wageman) of Ankeny, IA, Andrea (Kenneth Perry) of Mondamin, IA and Greg Pippitt (Jaren) of Sunrise Beach, MO; his grandchildren, Brock Wageman (Clare), Mackenzie Christensen, Trevor Perry (Brianna), Hanna Wageman, Jeffery Perry (Emily), Keegan Pippitt, Pierce Johnson, Paige Perry and Wyatt Pippitt; his great grandchildren, Tatum Perry and Charlotte Perry; and his sister Marian Melick. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 1st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Hoy Kilnoski Funeral Home (1221 N 16th St, Council Bluffs, IA 51501). A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, October 1st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
