She was predeceased by: her parents, Melvin Tolliver and Kathleen Tolliver (Loney); her husband Sheldon Peterson; and her siblings, Linda Tolliver, Debbie Monahan and Jay Tolliver.

She is survived by: her children, Sabre Hansen (Jerry) of Fremont, Tami Peterson of Omaha and Nicholas Peterson (Catherine) of Gretna, Nebraska; her grandchildren, Kayleigh Hilt (Brandon) of Yutan and Allison Johnson (Aaron) of Omaha; her great grandchildren, Mason Hilt, Knox Hilt and Lyla Johnson; and her siblings, John Tolliver (Zelma) of Surprise, Gary Tolliver (Linda) of McAllen, Harry Tolliver (Sherrie) of Homosassa, Sandra Larson of Harlan, Crystal Hatterman of Woodbine, Alan Tolliver (Ruth) of Springfield and Cindy Ames (Mike) of Shenandoah, Iowa. She is also survived by many other relatives and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family would like memorial donations to be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
