With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Eunice LaVonne Beckner of Logan, Iowa, born in Sioux City, Iowa, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 17, 2024 at the age of 86. As Eunice LaVonne departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Eunice LaVonne may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories we hold dear and the legacy Eunice LaVonne leaves behind.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Victor Henry and Laura Grace Sundell (Peterson); and her grandson Joshua Beckner. She is survived by : her children, LaVonne Shearer (Bill) and Gene Beckner (Kris) of Logan; her grandchildren, Melinda Ruppert (Shearer) of Bancroft, NE, Rebecca Quackenbush (Josh) of Omaha, NE, Eric Beckner (Samantha) of Missouri Valley, Iowa, Cameron Beckner (Kristina) of Missouri Valley, Iowa and Morgan Beckner (Kendra) of Logan, Iowa; and her close friend Helen Wetzstein. She is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Monday, April 22nd 2024 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Immanuel Lutheran Church (311 E 6th St, Logan, IA 51546). A funeral service was held on Monday, April 22nd 2024 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
