He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold D. O'Neill and Thelma O'Neill (Foje). He is survived by: his wife Patricia (Patti); his sons, Brian (Marci) of Fernly, Nevada, Chad of Pocatello, Idaho and Jason (Nichole) of Gilbert, Arizona; his stepchildren, Matt Holben of Winter Garden, Florida, Meri Clausen (Mark) of Missouri Valley, Iowa and Megan Stokes (Ricky) of Prague; his stepgrandchild Gabe Holben (Stephanie) of Altoona; his brothers, Paul (Patsy) of Council Bluffs and Randy (Wanda) of Carroll; and his sisters-in-law, Evelyn McBride (Kent) of Logan and Elaine McIntosh Hatcher of Hesperia, California.. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren.

Memorials are suggested to the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Logan, Iowa.
